" Smooth...sultry...powerful" ..all of these are words used to describe Alexis Anthony's music and voice. Based in San Antonio texas.

After a win at a high-school talent show (she sang Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love") she knew that singing was in her future and decided to learn more at Southeast Missouri State University.

Singing in choirs, ensembles and various bands along the way has helped round out her musical tastes.

Her influences are wide and varied: Sting, Dido, Sade, Joni Mitchell, and Stevie Wonder are some members of her musical family that educated her in the artistry of singing and songwriting.

A mother, a musician and and a teacher...

Alexis is a mother and views this as her number one job and joy in life....

She is currently a private instructor at Crown Ridge Music Academy where she teaches piano, guitar, voice and songwriting.

Alexis performs with the ELLE band every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at the Candlelight Coffeehouse
on St. Mary's Street in San Antonio.

While she enjoys performing immensely - her focus is on recording her first album scheduled to be release in 2007.

The album will be a collaborative effort with many talented artists in the area that will include songs about her life and times.
